Possible Scattered Spider threat actor arrested. Police have arrested a 17-year-old boy from Walsall, a small town in England, in connection with a global cyber online crime group which has been targeting large organizations with ransomware and gaining access to computer networks.
MGM Resorts provided a statement, which makes this look like a Scattered Spider member was arrested, as they had involvement in the MGM Resorts cyber incident.
“We’re proud to have assisted law enforcement in locating and arresting one of the alleged criminals responsible for the cyber attack against MGM Resorts and many others."
