Threat Actor, USDoD, has Allegedly been Identified

A Brazilian hacker known as "USDoD" has been identified as the mastermind behind one of the largest data breaches in U.S. history, involving the theft of 3 billion records. The hacker, who has ties to hacktivism and cybercrime dating back to 2017, was able to breach numerous companies and government agencies, including the FBI's InfraGard program and major corporations like Airbus and Lockheed Martin.

The hacker, identified as Luan, is believed to have sold the stolen data, which included personal information such as full names, address histories, and family details, for around $3.5 million. Despite efforts to conceal his identity, investigators from CrowdStrike were able to trace his activities back to Brazil through various online accounts and transactions. This case highlights the global reach and complexity of modern cybercrime.
