Overview

The RansomHub ransomware group has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack against Portland Public Schools in Maine, USA. The threat actors assert that they have exfiltrated 110 GB of sensitive data from the school district and are threatening to publicly release the stolen files within 12 to 13 days unless a ransom is paid.

Portland Public Schools is Maine's largest and most diverse school district, serving approximately 6,500 students from preschool through 12th grade. The leaked files allegedly contain student records, employee contracts, financial reports, insurance documents, and confidential student health information.
