The FBI, in collaboration with international agencies, successfully disrupted the Radar/Dispossessor ransomware operation, seizing numerous servers and domains across the U.S., U.K., and Germany.
This ransomware group, active since August 2023, primarily targeted small to mid-sized businesses globally, exploiting vulnerabilities and weak security measures to breach networks, steal data, and deploy ransomware.
The group initially began by reposting data from other ransomware operations, including LockBit, but escalated their attacks using the leaked LockBit 3.0 encryptor from June 2024.
This takedown is part of broader efforts to combat cybercrime worldwide.
