This account has grown significantly since it was started on the 31st of August, 2023. So I've thought of some questions/statements you may have and answered them below.
Whoami?
Dark Web Informer
Are you one person or a group?
One person
You have a lot of resources...
Yeah, I've been in this scene for a long time.
Hahaha bro only posts BreachForums posts...
I also have publicly provided details on ransomware groups, Dark Web owners, darknet markets, and more. Collaboration beats clowning, but I'll admit the meme was good.
When is the rug pull happening?
Never, even if I’m dead, there's a plan in place.
When is the site going to get seized?
Never, everything is legally run.
What's your goal with the platform?
The goal is to provide as much information as possible about events on the Dark Web and open web in a legal and accessible way. Keeping things simple while being informative is key.
Do you talk to threat actors or groups?
Communication with various sources is essential to gather accurate information. All conversations remain private.
Do you talk to any LEA?
I report illegal material like CSAM to the appropriate authorities. Otherwise I don't communicate with any LEA. All other communications, like with Threat Actors remains private.
How many pseudonyms do you have?
Several. I don’t reuse names outside of my verified channels.
Are you a darknet market admin or mod?
No, but it's a space I’m very familiar with.
Will you ever consider running a darknet market?
No money is worth going to prison for.
What hat do you wear?
I work to expose and disrupt harmful activity while responsibly disclosing stolen data or credentials when possible. So you be the judge.
Do you own WhiteIntel?
No, but there’s a good relationship there.
Do you want to work with other companies?
Absolutely, whether financially or through collaboration.
Spell check here, spell check there...
Have you ever though that English isn't my first language? If it bothers you that much, feel free to mute or unfollow.
Do you have a board to share of things you have planned or are working on?
Not yet, but it’s a great idea to implement.
What is your perspective on transparency?
Transparency is vital. I inform users of any issues or downtime promptly. Paying subscribers deserve trust in the platform’s quality. Archived content ensures accountability.
Why do you provide a canary?
It’s a community-driven decision to assure users everything is operating smoothly.
You know this is killing your OpSec bro...
Transparency is part of building trust, and I carefully manage what is shared to protect the platform.
Are there any plans to collaborate with content creators?
Yes, I've been asked, but I'm not doing that for now.
How can someone support the platform or contribute?
Donations and subscriptions are at the top of the list—they help me breathe, eat, and sleep while continuing to build new features. Everything has a cost. Even if you can’t contribute financially, leaving comments and likes on posts makes a difference!
What inspired you to start Dark Web Informer?
Platforms like DeepDotWeb and Darknetlive, both of which were seized due to illegal activities, inspired me. There’s a gap for this kind of information on the Clearnet unless you’re willing to pay thousands to big companies. I’m providing it for the cost of a coffee or two per month.
How do you balance legality and transparency in your operations?
The Terms and Transparency report are designed to ensure clarity and accountability in all operations. The platform only processes publicly available information to create visualizations and complies with all applicable laws. Requests for content removal are reviewed carefully to ensure they are valid and justified. For more details, refer to the Terms and Transparency report.
What new features are you planning to add?
I usually share updates on Twitter/X, but I plan to create a board for better organization and visibility.
Do you plan to expand to other forms of media, such as podcasts or videos?
Maybe one day.
What’s your stance on ethical hacking and responsible disclosure?
I’ve reported vulnerabilities and data exposures to multiple organizations. You can see my intel provided on both the platform, Twitter/X, and Telegram.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve faced while running the platform?
Running this platform is a full-time commitment, but I enjoy everything about it.
Where do you see Dark Web Informer in five years?
I hope to make this the next big thing and have the growing audience join me on this journey.
What motivates you to keep going despite the challenges?
This is my full-time job and will continue to be for years to come. The love and support of the community keeps me energized and inspired.
