Untereisesheim — The municipal administration of Untereisesheim suffered a severe cyberattack on Monday, significantly disrupting the community’s ability to perform essential public services.
According to officials, the attackers encrypted the contents of the municipality’s servers using ransomware, compromising nearly the entire IT infrastructure. Only the telephone system remains operational.
The municipality is working urgently to mitigate the impact on citizens and restore affected systems. The State Criminal Police Office and the Baden-Württemberg Cybersecurity Agency are assisting with the investigation and recovery efforts.
