The City of Mentor has confirmed that it experienced a cyberattack, leading officials to take several hosted servers offline as a precautionary measure to protect municipal data and systems.

[According to city officials](https://spectrumnews1.com/oh/columbus/news/2025/10/25/mentor-restoring-services-cyber-attack), emergency and non-emergency dispatch services (including 911 and 440-255-1234) remain fully operational. However, phone lines used for general inquiries and administrative purposes at the Mentor Police Department and Mentor Municipal Court were temporarily affected. These services are expected to return to normal operations by **Monday, October 27**.

[At this time](https://cityofmentor.com/mentor-responding-to-cyber-event/), the city has stated there is **no evidence** that any personal or private information has been accessed or compromised. Efforts are underway to restore all integrated systems to full functionality.

While most phone lines have been restored, some residents may still experience **minor delays** in data access or online services as recovery continues. The city advised residents that if they encounter issues reaching a department or completing an online request, they should use the department’s main published phone number or email to reach staff directly.

Officials noted that all essential city services remain available and that additional updates will be provided if there are further impacts to public-facing systems.
