📌 Overview

The Medusa ransomware group has claimed responsibility for compromising Champions Group Holdings, a U.S.-based provider of home services specializing in heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services.

The ransomware group alleges that:

  • They have exfiltrated a significant volume of sensitive corporate data.
  • The stolen data includes financial records, invoices, and internal documents.
  • They plan to publish the data within 9–10 days unless a ransom is paid.

Medusa has set a ransom demand of $500,000 for either downloading or deleting the data, with an option to extend the ransom deadline for $10,000 per day.
