Australian hydraulic equipment supplier Aussie Fluid Power has confirmed a cybersecurity incident involving unauthorized access by a third party to a limited number of its IT systems.
In a public statement, the company said that while the investigation is ongoing, there is no immediate action required from customers or suppliers beyond maintaining vigilance over their online security.
“We are investigating the matter as a priority and have engaged forensic IT experts to support the investigation,” the company stated. “At this stage, it appears that certain employee, customer, and supplier information may have been compromised.”
The Anubis ransomware group has claimed responsibility for the attack, marking its latest activity targeting industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Aussie Fluid Power added that it has reported the incident to the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) and is strengthening its security protocols following the breach. The company apologized to those affected and confirmed that impacted stakeholders are being notified directly.
