On April 7, 2025, a threat actor operating under the alias octagon published a listing on a well-known hacking forum, claiming to have breached food delivery giant Grubhub earlier this year.
According to the post, the actor is offering a dataset containing roughly 70 million user records, allegedly stolen during a breach in January 2025. The exposed data reportedly includes tens of millions of email addresses, phone numbers, and hashed passwords. The actor has shared two public samples and is advertising the full dataset for a starting price of $100,000, stating that the data will be sold to only one buyer.
